Do’s and Don’ts – Haunted Homes and Earthbound Spirits

Understand what the earthbound spirit is going through and you can’t help but understand why ghost hunter and paranormal investigators are NOT recommended. If you found a little (living) girl lost in your restaurant or Inn would you keep her there for publicity or try to help her? Once earthbound, this child is still desperately seeking her parents! Use this same type of thinking to understand the plight of an earthbound. They are stuck due to confusion and trauma. They need help, not to be exploited by ghost walks and tours.
Do: Be aware that groups with websites and/or advertising that confuse an earthbound spirit with Halloween, scare tactics and pure childishness is telling you something. The subject of earthbound spirits should be addressed with dignity and respect, no different than a funeral or memorial. The mentality of most paranormal and ghost hunter groups is that they get to be part of a horror movie and they are not able to morally distinguish right from wrong.
Don’t use paranormal groups, ghost hunters. They usually tell you right up front – They cannot HELP.
If they say they can help, ask about their past experience. I never recommend people who need recording equipment. It tells you that they are not able to directly communicate. A background in healing is extremely helpful and perhaps necessary.
Don’t affiliate your business or accept donations from groups that want to donate money made by exploiting human souls. This includes ghost tours, advertising a place as haunted, or any activity that charges money and benefits from keeping them stuck.
Don’t provoke earthbound spirits. It is cruel, unconscious and violates their human rights. (They are still a human being!) People that taunt and provoke are sick and insensitive and usually have self-centered motives. A sensitive or medium does not need any type of equipment or proof of their existence in order to help them.
Don’t do Nothing: A common-well intended response is to ignore you have an earthbound spirit. This is never a good idea. Remember this soul is still alive so it’s no different than keeping a live person in a room or house for the rest of their existence. After they are crossed over their FREE WILL is restored.

Her Beliefs Prevented Her From Crossing Over
I received an email from “David” whose sister “Mary” (not their real names) died of cancer. Mary was living with her mom and dad, and the dad had also passed away.
After moving the mother to assisted living, David and his wife started updating the house in hopes it would *look and feel better. The family had your typical, in David’s words, “dysfunctional history” and he said the parents never changed a thing in all the years they lived there.
David wrote in his email;
“Several individuals independent of each other have experienced a presence and seen images of a woman. They have heard foot steps, radios have turned on, things have fallen over, other things have moved without explanation.
I don’t know what to do to help my sister. I’ve spoken to my pastor and I have been praying for her. She, I think was very uncertain about her own spiritual beliefs.”
David never heard from his pastor, which is sad but not surprising. Most people simply do not know how to handle this situation.
I met with David and his wife Donna. They had been through a lot. They had been cleaning out years of belongings as well as updating the home. They had to put his mother into a home and it had taken a tremendous toll on both of them.
As a healer my focus is on helping everyone involved. I arrived at 10 am and asked David what he thought about me and all this. I could tell that calling on me brought him out of his comfort zone, but he would come to tell me how much our meeting meant to him.
We proceeded to connect to his sister. There were things that got sorted out between David and his sister that gave them both great relief. Left unsaid, it would have been a heavy burden for each of them. Although their relationship had been difficult at times, David came through in the biggest way a human can. He helped his sister out of a state of pure torment.
David was there to see his sister find healing and finally experience relief as she went into the light.
It is tangible. The energy in the room shifts, the knot in your gut disapears; your heart opens and feels enormous relief.
Next to being part of a birth I don’t think anything compares to being instrumental in helping another soul.
I worked with David’s wife to neutralize all the residual energy. She remarked that even after their renovations the energy never felt good in the house. Now it felt clear and open. A couple months later it sold.
They invited me to their home and we revitalized that space too. The entire family has experienced a great deal of healing through our work together.
I have grown so fond of this family – and we have remained in contact.

Clients and Their Situations
A new client usually starts off by saying, “You’ve probably never heard anything like this…” or “Please don’t think I’m crazy but…” and proceed to tell me about a situation they’ve been living in but were too embarrassed to say anything about.
Unfortunately, much of the advice given via mainstream media says that there is nothing to be afraid of. Being afraid has nothing to do with the fact that it is never, ever a healthy situation to cohabitate in a space with negative residual energy and especially with an earthbound spirit.
I’ve done space revitalization (space clearing) in homes with unhealthy residual energy, earthbound spirits, poltergeists and worse, and most people understate the situation. So I encourage you to question the quality of psychological energy in your home and business. You deserve to live in a healthy environment.
De-Stigmatizing a stigmatized property
A property that has had a death or a prior owner with an unsavory past is classified as having a “psychological stigma.” Strong emotions (negative or positive) form vibrational imprints in a physical space that others can feel long after the event took place. A normal, healthy reflex is for people to avoid spaces that feel uncomfortable. This is why certain business locations struggle and some homes will not sell.
Further, these residual patterns can cause health and psychological issues. Many realtors intuitively feel a moral obligation to disclose psychological stigmas regardless of the law.
So little is understood on the subject of psychologically-stigmatized homes that most realtors struggle with the financial and legal aspect. An educated realtor will resolve the problem by calling on someone who can completely resolve the issue.
Why lose money on a home’s value?
The only way to effectively deal with a stigmatized property is to solve the problem where it exists. Realtors already handle a slew of property issues – adding an expert in dealing with the psychological energy should be at the top of their list.
Enlist the help of a space clearing expert who will know how to deal with all types of energy imbalances as well as earthbound spirits.
When a property is haunted, there is a human soul who needs our help. By consciously addressing the real issue, everyone wins. The spirit(s) occupying the home will no longer be present. Houses can be sold for what they are worth and no one is harmed in the process. As a society, we need to understand helping earthbound spirits is a moral issue, not a legal one.
Hiring a space clearing expert will help make a house a home and remove the stigmatized label from a property. In fact, a stigmatized property that had an energetic tune-up will feel better than most “normal” places.

A Child’s Perspective
This young child passed (very quickly) from a brain tumor at the age of 2. This is an excerpt of the conversation we had with his grandmother:
Alice Violet: Child is asking “Why didn’t you talk to me before?”
I’m letting him know that you didn’t know you could do that…and this is really important for you to share with your family. That he’s around you. He did go into the light. He has a guardian with him, that has always been with him before he incarnated, when he came in, and when he went back. He’s (child) always been aware of him. Babies can see the angels and guides, and because he was so young when he passed, he’s always been aware of him.
He’s saying now “Why don’t you talk to me?”
Part of what I do is educate people that you can continue talking to his spirit. From his perspective, he has this guide that he’s completely in touch with. When he dies his guide is there to help him cross over. So from his perspective everybody has this awareness and he doesn’t understand why people don’t keep talking to him [in the same way as before].
Client: Well I do stop and see him and talk to him all the time. We all do.
Alice Violet: How do you stop and see him?
Client: I go to the cemetery all the time. (when the grandmother goes to the grave she is crying and grieving for her grandson, so we talk about how this is what he experiences and doesn’t understand)
Alice Violet: Right, but his spirit is here as soon as you call him. So going to the cemetery is almost the opposite of the way you want to be connecting with him- because it brings up your grief and he’s like I’m right here and I’m okay. He still has this childlike innocence and he doesn’t understand. So we need to make this shift in the way you connect to him.
